Providing information to remote mountainous, border and island regions in 2012-2015
|
The Prime Minister has approved a national objective programme on providing information to remote and mountainous areas, border regions and islands in the 2012-2015 period.
The programme aims to build and consolidate the grassroots system of information communication to provide exact and timely information about Party policies and state laws, and information about socio-economic, political, cultural, scientific and technical development to people in remote mountain, border and island areas, thus narrowing the gap in available information to people among regions, contributing to promoting economic development, improving the cultural and spiritual life of the people, and ensuring national defence and security in these regions.
The programme will be implemented in 62 poor districts and seven districts that have high rates of household poverty and disadvantaged ethnic-inhabited communes, with a total investment of 1,730 billion VND./.

Autumn/Winter BONMUA Fashion Show 2012 - 2013 in Hanoi

The Autumn/Winter BONMUA Fashion Show 2012 – 2013 will take place at Hotel De l’Opera at 29 Trang Tien, Hanoi on September 13, 2012.
The fashion show will introduce two collections, titled Moschino Donna and Moschino Unomo. The highlight of the event is having these collections, which were showcased in Milan and Paris, performed in Vietnam for the first time with the advice of foreign experts.
The Moschino Uoma collection for men, called “Moschino Savile Rock” is considered a greeting from the well-known Savile Row road – the symbol of traditional garment industry of London
Beside this, there will be Moschino Donna collection for women with Pop’s style and a strange view of soldiers parading in colorful costumes./.

80 writers from Laos, Cambodia, India and Thailand visit Quang Nam province

Leader of Quang Nam province presented gifts to writers
(CPV) – On September 11th, in the central city of Hoi An, the Quang Nam provincial People’s Committee had a meeting with 80 writers from Laos, Cambodia, India, Thailand and Vietnam who visited the province on the occasion of the 4th Mekong River Literature Conference held in Da Nang city.
Nguyen Duc Hai, member of the Party Central Committee and secretary of the Quang Nam provincial Party Committee, welcomed writers to the province, a land which is rich in revolutionary tradition, culture and literature. Quang Nam is a also the place where many historical characteristics, cultural activists and poets were born and made great contributions to the nation in the field of culture in general and literature in particular.
Mr. Hai also hoped that after the conference and field trips, the friendship among nations and attention to cooperation and exchange in literature and art creation will inspire new literature works.
“Under the precise, bright and sensitive view of writers, the image of central Vietnam and Quang Nam province will be introduced to international friends,” said Mr. Hai.
On this occasion, Quang Nam provincial People’s Committee presented five gifts to the five delegations from five countries; and the Vietnamese Writers’ Association presented Quang Nam provincial Association of Writers a collection of books about Ho Chi Minh and writers. /.
