Vietnam welcomes masterChef
|
VietNamNet Bridge – The renowned reality television show for culinary enthusiasts has been in Vietnam.
As well as other international versions of MasterChef, MasterChef Vietnam is a reality television program about cooking for everyone, regardless of profession, age, gender... who want to pursue their dream of becoming a professional chef.
Starting as a TV show about cooking in the UK in 1990, MasterChef is now one of the most popular TV shows in the world, with huge numbers of viewers. In particular, the two most popular versions are the MasterChef in Australia and America.
Before coming to Vietnam, MasterChef has been produced in 35 countries around the world and broadcasted in more than 200 countries.
Participating in this contest, contestants will have to overcome many challenges and compete drastically to create impressive dishes to become the winner. Only the best will be awarded the first title of MasterChef of Vietnam.
Mr. Lai Van Sam, representative of the Vietnam Television (VTV) said he and all members of the production crew were very excited to be able to bring this reality TV show to Vietnam. One thing that makes the manufacturers believe in the success of the MasterChef Vietnam is that it strikes to the indispensable demand in the daily life of each person, which is food.
The recent event that Vietnamese blind woman Christine Ha became the America MasterChef also makes the audience excited to watch this program.
The two judges of MasterChef Vietnam are world-renowned Vietnamese Australian chef Luke Nguyen and entrepreneur Hoang Khai.
Luke Nguyen is one of the well-known chefs-restaurant owners in Australia and some countries in the world. He is also the author of several culinary books and a guest of many reality TV shows about food like Food Safari, Heat In The Kitchen, and MasterChef Australia. Also, he has been quite successful as the creator and the host for the TV show to explore Vietnamese cuisine called "Luke Nguyen's Vietnam".
Meanwhile, entrepreneur Hoang Khai has a lot of experience in running high-class restaurants in Vietnam. He will assume the role of a judge and a culinary analyst in the program.
MasterChef Vietnam consists of 20 episodes, scheduled to air on every Friday, at 20 pm on VTV3, starting on August 3, 2013.

VietNamNet Bridge – Architecture Vo Trong Nghia has won two first prizes at the World Architecture Festival (WAF) in Singapore.

Stacking Green House.
His “Stacking Green” project topped 15 candidates in the “House” category and his “Binh Duong School” project outdid 9 others in the “School” category.
The “Stacking Green” house was constructed on a small plot of land (4 by 20 metres) in district 2, HCM City. The front and back of the house were made entirely of cantilevered concrete planters, each at slightly different levels in harmony with the height of desired plants.

The “Binh Duong School” was built in the middle of a lush forest outside HCM City, providing an open, breathable space for nearly 800 students who wish to learn and relax at the same time.
The World Architecture Festival is the largest live awards competition aimed at sharing architectural experiences from across the globe.
This year’s event was held from October 3-5, draining over 8,000 participants from all over the world.

Ho Chi Minh City – Hai Phong route by Vietjet air
|
(CPV) - VietJet Aviation Joint Stock Company (VietJet Air) on October 7 officially opens its new Ho Chi Minh City – Hai Phong air route.
Accordingly, there will be one round-trip flights daily between the two cities, using Airbus A320 aircraft with capacity of 180 passengers.
Speaking at the welcoming ceremony held at the Cat Bi Airport, Minister of Transport, Mr Dinh La Thang, congratulated the airlines for great efforts in the past to demonstrate its trademark in both domestic and international markets. In the future, the Ministry will create more favourable conditions for VietJet Air’s operations.
Also from October this year, the airlines hopes to expand its network along the nation to Da Lat, Hue, Vinh and Phu Quoc, as well as to increase flights on its Ho Chi Minh City – Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City – Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City – Nha Trang and Hanoi – Da Nang routes, meeting the increasing demand of passengers.
The newly-opened air route will contribute to promoting the 2013 Red River National Tourism Year that will be hosted by Hai Phong City under the theme “The Red River civilization”.
Starting from October 14, the airlines will double this route.
