Making plan for cultural day of Vietnamese ethnic groups 2013

Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has approved a project on organizing the cultural day of Vietnamese ethnic groups 2013 in the Central Highlands province of Gia Lai from April 19th to 21st, with the participation of all 54 ethnic minority groups nationwide.
The opening ceremony will take place at 8 pm on April 19th 2013 and the closing ceremony will also be on 8 pm, on April 21st 2013.
Diverse activities will be held, such as a seminar on the great solidarity among ethnic minority groups to make the strength of Vietnam in 67 years of implementing Uncle Ho’s letter to the Congress of southern ethnic groups; mass art performance; show of traditional clothes; exhibition on ethnic cultures; and performances of Vietnamese intangible cultural heritages recognized by UNESCO.
The event aims to strengthen the great solidarity among ethnic minority groups and localities nationwide; preserve and promote cultural identities and fine traditions of ethnic minority groups; promote tourism and socio-economic and cultural development; improve people’s awareness of preserving and glorifying the advanced Vietnamese culture imbued with national identities; and introduce people nationwide as well as international friends to images of the Vietnamese land and people and fine cultural traditions./.

40th anniversary of Vietnam-India diplomatic ties more and more is concentrated

The Hanoi Union of Friendship Organisations and the Indian Embassy in Vietnam has held an art performance in Hanoi to mark the 40th anniversary of Vietnam-India diplomatic ties and the fifth anniversary of the two countries’ strategic partnership.
Programmes were performed by artists from the Vietnam National Music Song and Dance Theatre and the Military University of Culture and Arts.
Speaking at the event, Indian Ambassador to Vietnam Ranjit Rae highlighted the increasing developments in the multifaceted relations between the two countries, especially in culture.
During the programme, audiences enjoyed performances imbued with traditional identities of Vietnam and India./.

HCMC Television 2012 MC contest will be opened
|
(CPV) - The 9th “Ho Chi Minh City Television 2012 Master of Ceremonies (MC) Contest”, organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Television (HTV), has officially been launched.
Vietnamese citizens, aged from 18-30 and at least 1.65m tall for men, and age 18-28 and at least 1.58m tall for women, who graduated from high school and have sufficient foreign language skill are eligible to compete for the contest.
The organizing board will receive registrations from October 22-29 at No. 9, Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, district 1, Ho Chi Minh City and No. 33, TT4, My Dinh town, Me Tri, Tu Liem, Hanoi.
The contestants will take part in 2 preliminary rounds, in Hanoi on October 31 and Ho Chi Minh City on November 2 and 3. The 16 short-listed contestants will continue to the semifinal, selecting the 8 most excellent ones to join the final round.
The final round will be aired on channel HTV9 on December 1, 8 and 15, 2012. The program includes some prizes such as golden swifts worth VND 35 millions; silver award, two third place awards and some other prizes.
The contest focuses on creating a useful playing field for young people who have a passion for the MC career, and on discovering talents for the communication and TV industry in the country./.
