(TITC) – “Highland’s perfume and beauty” is the theme of Lam Dong Tea Culture Week 2012 held from 21 to 28 December 2012 in Bao Loc City and surrounding districts of Bao Lam, Di Linh and Da Lat City ( Lam Dong Province) with the participations of tea growers, producers, traders and researchers at home and abroad.
The Lam Dong Tea Culture Week 2012 will include main activities as the opening ceremony associated with honoring tea producers, the summary ceremony and issuance of tea B’Lao brand certificates for businesses, international workshop on tea trees, fair and exhibition on tea industry, introduction of tea culture, establishment of traditional house about tea trees… Besides, many other activities responding the event will be organized as Da Lat winter trade – tourism fair, street parade to praise tea brand, visit to tea material area, tea pickers contest, tea cuisine culture contest…
To the event, visitors have opportunity to admire how to brew variety kinds of teas, enjoy free the flavor of Bao Loc tea and many kinds of teas all over the country. This is also a chance for visitors to visit famous scenic sites as Damb’ri Waterfall (Bao Loc) – one of the most beautiful and spectacular waterfalls in Lam Dong, Truc Lam Zen Monastery, Tuyen Lam Lake, Bao Dai Palace, Love Valley, Lang Biang peak mountain (Da Lat)…
Especially, this year’s tea culture week coincides with Christmas holiday, so visitors will be absorbed into excited and jubilant atmosphere of welcoming Christmas with many attractive art programs as “Sparkling Da Lat’s winter” night festival; dance performances as “Chao Da Lat” (Hello Da Lat), “Thap nen cho tinh yeu” (Light candles for love), “Vu khuc ong gia Noel” (Santa Claus’ dances and songs), “Da vu mua dong” (Winter dance night)…
Held once every two years, the Lam Dong Tea Culture Week is an opportunity to introduce and affirm brand of B’Lao tea to international and domestic tourists as well as promote tea land of B’Lao as an ideal stopover for tourists on journey to discover the flowers city of Da Lat.
