(CPV) - The 9th “Ho Chi Minh City Television 2012 Master of Ceremonies (MC) Contest”, organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Television (HTV), has officially been launched.
Vietnamese citizens, aged from 18-30 and at least 1.65m tall for men, and age 18-28 and at least 1.58m tall for women, who graduated from high school and have sufficient foreign language skill are eligible to compete for the contest.
The organizing board will receive registrations from October 22-29 at No. 9, Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, district 1, Ho Chi Minh City and No. 33, TT4, My Dinh town, Me Tri, Tu Liem, Hanoi.
The contestants will take part in 2 preliminary rounds, in Hanoi on October 31 and Ho Chi Minh City on November 2 and 3. The 16 short-listed contestants will continue to the semifinal, selecting the 8 most excellent ones to join the final round.
The final round will be aired on channel HTV9 on December 1, 8 and 15, 2012. The program includes some prizes such as golden swifts worth VND 35 millions; silver award, two third place awards and some other prizes.
The contest focuses on creating a useful playing field for young people who have a passion for the MC career, and on discovering talents for the communication and TV industry in the country./.
