Russian businesses explore Ninh Thuan’s tourism potential
|
A Russian Farmtrip delegation consisting of representatives from 10 travel agencies of Pegas Touristik Company paid a fact-finding visit to Ninh Thuan province from September 7-9.
During their stay in Bau Truc resort and Saigon-Ninh Chu hotel, they called at Vinh Hy bay, the Bau Truc pottery village, My Nghiep weaving village and Poklong Garai tower to enjoy art performances by Cham people.
The visit was in preparation for the first 300 Russian tourists to go sightseeing there for 3-4 days, starting on September 16.
In the next few days, the delegation will study tourism products in Binh Thuan and participate in the International Travel Expo (ITE 2012) in Ho Chi Minh City.

Photographic exhibition on Vietnam opens in France
|
A photographic exhibition called “glimpses of Vietnam” opened in Choisy le Roi city, about 20km from Paris, on September 9.
The event is part of activities to celebrate the festival in Choisy le Roi and mark the 40th anniversary of the signing of the historic Paris Agreement in 1973 which put an end to the war and established peace in Vietnam.
On display are 20 typical works selected from more than 6,000 colour photos taken by French photographer Gerard Memmi during his 15 visits to Vietnam.
They provide a fascinating glimpse into the mountainous scenery and daily lives of ethnic minority people in Sapa and Mai Chau and other ancient sites in and around Hanoi.
Gerard Memmi said that he is in love with Vietnam and wants to organize an exhibition on the country at the Vietnam Culture Centre in France on the occasion of the two countries’ friendship year in 2013.

Vietnam Airlines cooperates with SNCF from France
|
The Vietnam National Flag Carrier Vietnam Airlines has signed a cooperation agreement with France's national state-owned railway (French National Railway Corporation) on providing transportation services for its passengers.
Following that, Vietnam Airlines passengers can use France's high-speed rail service – TGV (Train à Grande Vitesse) from Charles De Gaulle International Airport to travel to 19 domestic destinations around the nation including: Lille, Le Mans, Angers St-Laud, Nantes, Rennes, St-Pierre des Corps, Poitiers, Bordeaux St Jean, Lyon Part – Dieu, Valence TGV, Avignon TGV, Aix en Provence TGV, Marseille St Charles, Strasbourg, Nitnes, Montpellier, Toulon, Champagne TGV, and Lorraine TGV.
Landing at Charles De Gaulle International Airport, passengers will easily and conveniently manage their time-table to use TGV services with simple procedures and acceptable prices.
SNCF operates the country's national rail services, including the TGV, France's high-speed rail network. Its functions include operating rail services for passengers and freight, and maintenance and signalling of rail infrastructure owned by Réseau Ferré de France (RFF). It employs more than 180,000 people in 120 countries around the globe. The rail network consists of about 32,000 km of route, of which 1,800 km are high-speed lines and 14,500 km electrified. About 14,000 trains are operated daily, carrying around 4 million passengers.
