The appearance of UNESCO Association for the Conservation of Vietnamese Ethnic Culture

The Vietnamese Union of UNESCO Associations has established the UNESCO Association for the Conservation of Vietnamese Ethnic Culture.
The announcement was made at a meeting in the northern province of Thai Binh. Accordingly, the Association aims to contribute to promoting and preserving the cultural values of Vietnamese ethnic groups.
Tran Van Sen will assume the Presidency of the association, which represents the provinces of Lai Chau, Thanh Hoa, Thai Binh, Bac Ninh, Nam Dinh, the cities of Hanoi and Hai Phong, and Ho Chi Minh City. All are expected to have a voice in the executive committee of the association.
On this occasion, the Association held art performances demonstrating the cultural identities of ethnic groups./.

Vietnamese version opens

The copyright of the UK reality cooking show “MasterChef” has been purchased by the BHD Multimedia Company, and Vietnam Television (VTV) will broadcast the show in Vietnam under the name “Vua Dau Bep – MasterChef Vietnam”.
The program will officially receive registrations across the country in early December. Before coming to Vietnam, “MasterChef” has been produced in more than 35 countries around the world, and broadcast in 200 countries and territories, in which MasterChef Australia and MasterChef US are the most well-known versions.
Vietnamese-Australian chef Luke Nguyen, known as the host of the television series ‘Luke Nguyen's Vietnam’, will be a member of the jury. Another judge is Chef Hoang Khai, the renowned businessman behind Khai Silk. The final member of the jury will be announced soon.
“I’m so happy to be a judge for the show as well as to have a chance to come back to Vietnam to share with people the love of cuisine, especially Vietnamese cuisine,” Luke Nguyen stated at the press conference announcing the show on October 2.
The winner of the competition will receive VND500million (US$25,000) in cash and a contract to publish a cook book.
“Vua Dau Bep – MasterChef Vietnam” is scheduled to produce 20 episodes which will be broadcast at 8pm Friday nights, starting March 8, 2013./.

Feet slipper race welcomes in District 7
|
|
For the first time, Project Happy Feet Slipper Race will be hosted in HCMC to raise funds for the education and training of underprivileged children.
The event expects to attract around 1,500 people who will walk with their slippers on their feet for three kilometers in Phu My Hung urban area in District 7.
The event, organized by Project Happy Feet organization in Singapore in collaboration with Know One Teach One organization in Vietnam (KOTO), aims to raise about US$10,000. All donations collected will go toward KOTO.
The race will be held on October 21.
