Its capital, Stung Treng is a river junction town where Tonle San meets the Mekong. From Stung Treng, it is possible to take a boat to the village of Koh Khan Din to see sticky rice, a popular snack, being made in the early afternoon. Otherwise, arrange an ovenight stay on a river houseboat, sail to the Ramsar wetlands or enjoy a spectacular Mekong sunset.
