The main attraction in Oudong are the stupas on top of the hill, Phnom Oudong, just outside town. It is quite a climb to the top but the views are worthwhile. The stupa with the four Bayon style faces, contains the remains of King Monivong who ruled from 1927-41. The middle stupa, decorated with bright tiles, was built to inter the ashes of King Ang Duong, while the third, with partially destroyed elephant carvings at its base, houses the remains of King Soriyopor.
