Phou Fa, or Mountain in the Sky, sits above Phongsali at an altitude of 1,625m. It is believed that a Boddhi tree, like the one Buddha sat under to meditate, was here. Visitors to Phongsali might be tempted to respect the site for the fantastic 360 degree view of Phongsali and its surrounding mountains and valleys. A small trail leads up from behind the sign and takes 20-30 minutes to climb.
