Concert with Trio Trinity in Hanoi
|
(CPV) – The Trio Trinity, consisting of two lectures and a student of the masterclass of the Music Academy Vietnam, will no doubt inspire the audience in Hanoi with a concert at the Goethe-Institute Hanoi on November 9.
The concert will showcase Nguyen My Huong (violin), Nguyen Hong Anh (cello) and Tran Thai Linh (piano) as they play works of Schuhmann and Brahms.
Nguyen My Huong studied violin at the Music Academy of Vietnam from 1992 to 2005. She then studied at the University of Music and Drama in Graz with Prof. Thomas Zehetmair.
In 1999, 2000 and 2006 she was a member of the Asian Youth Orchestra and the PMF orchestra and thus took part in many concert tours including Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Canada, Australia and the USA.
My Huong is now a lecturer at the Academy of Music and often plays in the Hanoi Philharmonic Orchestra.
Nguyen Hong Anh studied cello from 1995 to 2004 at the Music Academy in Vietnam. In 1999, 2000 and 2004 she was a member of the Asian Youth Orchestra and went on many concert tours to countries including Japan, Hong Kong, the USA, Australia, and Canada.
In 2005 she played in the CISMA Orchestra in Quang Dong (China). She studied at the Franz Liszt University of Music in Weimar with Prof. Ulrich Beetz, Prof. Birgit Erichson and Prof. Brunhard Böhme in 2009 – 2010. She now teaches at the Vietnam National Music Academy and is first cellist in the Hanoi Philharmonic Orchestra./.

Website hanoi & US introduced
|
In the framework of the project on communication based on community in Vietnam, the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology has exhibited the website Hanoi & Us.
The website will be maintained until November 4, 2013. However, the exhibition will prolong for a month.
The exhibition is the result of cooperation between the community of ten teenagers from 12 to 15 years old in Hanoi and members of the project on communications based on community in Vietnam and website 36pho.vn.
Over the past three summer months, these teenagers participated in extra-curriculum activities, community interactions to discover and share their feelings and study about culture, beautiful landscapes, environment and people in Hanoi./.

International Anthropological Film Festival in HCMC
|
The Anthropological film festival co-organised by the Vietnam Institute of Culture and Arts Studies (VICAS) and HCMC Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will take place in Ho Chi Minh City from November 10-14.
Anthropological film festivals are a new type of cultural-art festival held in Vietnam for the first time. In this festival, all submitted films were curated for their participation including 70 films from countries around the world.
This year, 52 anthropological films will be screened in 3 venues in HCMC including HCMC University of Social Sciences and Humanities, HCMC University of Culture.
Ethnographic films are documentary films related to the methods of ethnology. It emerged in the 1960s as an important tool for research in the domain of visual anthropology as scientists began filming various human groups in society.
The main theme of this year's festival is “Modern Society and Sub-cultures”. The Festival’s objective is to introduce and disseminate anthropological films and to develop audiences throughout Vietnam./.
