Day 1: Saigon arrival

Saigon is a fast growing city, which is changing day by day and recognized by high buildings and big roads. The ongoing changes in economy have given the city a really cosmopolitan and dynamic character. Upon arrival at Saigon’s Tan Son Nhat Airport, our guide and driver will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel. You are free to stroll around the city and overnight in Saigon.

Day 2: Cu Chi Tunnels and Saigon highlights (B, L)
|
In the morning you will departure for the Cu Chi Tunnels. The Cu Chi Tunnels are an impressive network of tunnels with a length of over 250 km. This strategic place was used by 15,000 Viet Cong fighters during the war. A section of the tunnels has been widened to allow tourists to get a feel for what the life underground must have been like (please note that this will be hot and sweaty and also a bit claustrophobic!). After lunch, you will return to Saigon for a visit to the highlights of Saigon including the Central Post Office, the Notre Dame, the Reunification Palace and the War Museum. Day 3: Saigon –Vinh Long –Can Tho (B, L)
|
At 8 hours, our tour starts with a drive through the Mekong Delta to Cai Be, located in the heart of the Mekong Delta; from here we board our river boats for a cruise along the endless waterways of the mighty Mekong. There a time to visit fruit garden and bonsai garden on an islet, a pop –corn made factory as well as other handicraft village. At lunch time you will discover local culinary specialties. In the afternoon, we will reach Vinh Long Town where our waiting car will pick us up and transfer to the city of Can Tho, the heart of the Mekong Delta. Day 4: Can Tho floating market –Saigon (B)
|
|
Today, you will get up very early to catch amazing scene of Cai Rang Floating Market. This market is where locals go to buy and sell a variety of fruits and vegetables from boats of all sizes. During market hours (from 4am to 8am), larger sized boats anchor and create lanes that smaller boats weave in and out of. The waterway becomes a maze of hundreds of boats packed with mango, bananas, papaya, pineapple, and even smuggled goods like cigarettes. Sellers tie their goods to a tall pole so that buyers can see from a distance what they are selling. Other boats sell beer, wine and soft drinks to the merchants and the buyers. Reach the Cai Rang floating market, you will take slow running for nice pictures. We will stop for a while and you can buy some fruit or contact with local people. After the market, the trip will take you along the river bank and down cannels to see how people live, visit another orchard for relaxation. Day 5: Saigon –Mui Ne (B)
|
Today at 9am, you spend a 4- hour journey to Mui Ne, Phan Thiet. Checking in hotel, you are free to explore the province or enjoy the beach.

Day 6: Mui Ne (B)
|
Free your mind at your leisure on the long, sparkling beach of Phan Thiet. Overnight at hotel in Mui Ne

Day 7: Mui Ne –Saigon departure (B)
|
We check out hotel for a transfer back to Saigon, where you take a flight home. End of services by Indochina Travel Service.
