The concert will open in Vientiane on July 24 before playing in Phnom Penh on July 28. It will reach the last two venues of Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi in August. The concerts are part of the activities to mark the 50th anniversary of Vietnam-Laos diplomatic ties, the 35th anniversary of the signing of the Vietnam-Laos Friendship Treaty and the 45th celebration of the Vietnam-Cambodia diplomatic ties. At the concert in Vietnam, violinist Bui Cong Duy will perform pieces by Beethoven while in Laos and Cambodia, Vietnamese artist Trinh Thanh Binh will sing famous songs written by musicians Hoang Ha and Hoang Viet. The proceeds of performances in Vietnam will be presented to 100 gifted music students. According to the organizing board, proceeds from the concerts in Vietnam will put aside to support Vietnamese young music talent. The two concerts in Laos and Cambodia will be free of charge./.
