Many TV programs such as films, documentaries, and art performances will be broadcast on Vietnam Television channels to mark National Day on September 2.

A documentary titled ‘Historical Day’ based on National Day on September 2, 1945 will be screened on VTV1 channel on August 31.
Tens of thousands of people flocked to Ba Dinh Square in Hanoi to hear President Ho Chi Minh read the historic Declaration of Independence to establish the Democratic Republic of Vietnam on September 2, 1945.
The documentary also captures the bustling atmosphere of the congregation, President Ho Chi Minh’s speech and the parade at Ba Dinh Square on January 1, 1955.
The documentary was directed by Vladimir Echourine with the support of cameramen Nguyen Hong Nghi, Nguyen Tien Loi and Phan Nghiem and also Nguyen Dinh Thi who wrote the script and is the main narrator of the film.
Another documentary on declaration of independence includes Rivers and Mountains of the South in the 10th century by Ly Thuong Kiet; ‘Proclamation of the Victory over Foreign Aggressors’ in the 15th century by Nguyen Trai; and ‘The Declaration of Independence’ in the 20th century by President Ho Chi Minh, will be presented on VTV1 on September 1.
There will also be a documentary on Vietnam’s national flag on September 3; and a special art program themed ‘Truong Sa-Vietnam’s beloved sea and islands’ on September 2.
On the occasion of National Day, movies ‘Ha Noi Mua Dong Nam 46’ (Hanoi in the Winter of ‘46), ‘Hen Gap Lai Saigon’ (Saigon-Come Again) and ‘Nhin Ra Bien Ca’ (Looking to the Sea) will be screened by Vietnam Television.
