(CPV) - Silk Air, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, has officially launched a direct route from this country to Hanoi.
It offers a round-trip flight every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. Round-trip economy class fares start from 501 SGD (405 USD) inclusive of checked luggage, all taxes, and surcharges. Promotional prices are available on selected dates. The quoted price is a “hot deal” fare and is subject to availability.
The flight departed from Changi International Airport at 15h15 and arrived at Noi Bai International Airport at 17h35. It then left the capital of Vietnam at 18h30 and landed at Singapore at 22h50 on the same day.

According to Mr Marvin Tan, Silk Air General Manager, this new air route to Hanoi has allowed passengers to connect with 96 cities from 37 nations and territories worldwide.
With twenty-one aircraft, fifteen Airbus A320-200 and six Airbus A319-100 aircraft, it now offers more than 400 weekly flights to 41 destinations in 11 nations mostly around Southeast Asia, India and China. Hanoi is the 41st destination in its network.
In 2005, it opened Da Nang – Singapore air route with 3 flights per week.
So far, Silk Air and Singapore Airlines have operated 10 flights per week to Vietnam, meeting the demand for business and tourism between the two nations./.
