At
the meeting, Vice Chairwoman of Hanoi People’s Committee, Ngo Thi
Thanh Hang, expressed her belief that the presence of international
reporters in Hanoi will introduce this major national event to
countries around the world. During their stay from September 9-15, the
delegation of reporters will have an opportunity to visit prominent
places in Hanoi including the Thang Long Royal Citadel, and the Temple
of Literature. They will also visit some craft villages and historic
relics such as Son Tay Ancient Citadel, Duong Lam Ancient Village,
Van Phuc Silk Village and Bat Trang Ceramic Village. In addition,
they will work with some outstanding businesses to promote investment,
trade and tourism opportunities. Ms Hang said that Hanoi now has 300 three and five-star hotels and
thousands of small hotels to meet the demand of tourism. Being
selected as the focus of National Tourism Year 2010, Hanoi now has many
programmes and tourism products to attract international visitors.
