A training course on improving professional skills and methods of collecting, studying and teaching folklore culture and arts of Vietnamese ethnic minority groups has opened in the central province of Quang Ngai.
The event is being held by the Vietnam Folklore Literatuer and Arts Association in coordination with the Quang Ngai provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism with the participation of 200 cadres and students in the province.
Prof. Dr. Sc. To Ngoc Thanh and Assoc.Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Duc, Dr. Huynh Van Toi, Dr. Tran Huu Son from the Vietnam Folklore Literature and Arts Association instructed methods to approach, collect, study and teach folklore culture and intangible cultural heritages.
Participants also studied about folklore culture, literature, issues of southeastern folklore literature and arts, procedures to make and implement a project on studying and collecting folklore culture, and the application of knowledge about folklore culture in studying several sustainable development issues.
The six-day training course will close on July 28th 2012./.
