(CPV) – The “2nd European Language Day” will be organised by the EUNIC (European Union National Institutes for Culture) in Hanoi on October 27.
Members of the EUNIC, including the British Council, the Embassy of Hungary, Goethe-Institut, Instituto Cervantes, the Embassy of Spain, the Embassy of Italy and Wallonia-Brussels Delegation, will introduce at Goethe-Institut the diversity of their national languages, promote multilingualism and address the benefits of early foreign language learning.
The “European Language Day” is divided into two parts: In the morning, a conference titled “Early Foreign Language Learning – Chances and Challenges in Vietnam” will address the challenges and chances in the context of early foreign languages learning.
This is a topic which gained importance in the last years. Many parents want their children to learn a foreign language at a young age, which arguably raises language acquisition ability and intelligence of children.
At the second half of the European Language Day, the representatives of the participating institutions will present their respective languages and countries.
Short language courses and activities in Spanish, German, English, Hungarian and French are targeting anyone who is up for getting in touch with a new culture and would like to learn some basic foreign language skills.
Everybody interested in language and culture is more than welcome to join one of the languages classes or watch a short film at the exhibition hall./
