Pianist Tran Thi Tam Ngoc and percussionist Tran Xuan Hoa will present to music lovers classical and modern works in a concert at the French Cultural Center, L'Espace in Hanoi on August 18.
Pianist Tran Thi Tam Ngoc won the 1st Prize at the Southeast Asia Chopin International Piano Competition in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 2004, and the 1st Prize at the Piano and Orchestra Contest at the Boston School of Music in 2007, 2008 and 2009.
She has been invited as a guest pianist for solo and orchestra concerts in Vietnam, Singapore and the United States.
The pianist won full scholarships at Yong Siew Toh Music Academy in Singapore and the Boston School of Music in the US.
Tran Xuan Hoa is currently percussionist at the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet Company. He is also member and co-founder of the quartet Go Group, and the Lang Du Group.
He is a regular guest and lead player of ASEAN Group in a tour of 10 countries, under the baton of famous Japanese conductor Yoshi Fukumura.
