VietNamNet Bridge – Hanoi-based artists Vu Thai Binh, Ngoc Duc Hoang and Tran Ngoc Hung have brought the North to HCMC Fine Arts Museum to give Saigonese a chance to admire the colors and atmosphere of Hanoi in autumn.
A work by Vu Thai Binh on display at HCMC Fine Arts Museum in District 1.
Binh depicts monks in various activities such as praying, asking for food and admiring lotus flowers with vaporous yellow, creating a very carefree and peaceful sensation for viewers. Meanwhile, Hoang expresses his full emotion and nostalgia with Dong Ho folk images, Dao ethnic ladies in traditional costumes, bringing color and bright images to the graceful people.
Unlike Binh and Hoang who use oil and acrylic, Hung uses lacquer to depict his inner power and feelings with images of landscapes and daily life from lowland to mountainous regions.
The show runs until September 27 at the museum, 97A Pho Duc Chinh Street in District 1.
