Vietnam is one of the most attractive destinations for Cambodian tourists, with the number of visitors increasing annually by around 30 percent, according to the official statistics of the Cambodian Ministry of Tourism.
More than 420,000 Cambodians visited Vietnam last year.
Cambodian Minister of Tourism Thong Khon said that the number of Vietnamese tourists visiting Cambodia increases by 18 percent annually. More than 600,000 Vietnamese people came to Cambodia in 2011, accounting for 21 percent of the total number of foreign visitors to the country. The most popular tourist destination was Angkor Wat.
Vietnam and Cambodia have favourable conditions for boosting tourism cooperation, with a fine bilateral relationship, cheap tours on offer, and comfortable travel links with dozens of flights and hundreds of buses shuttling between the two countries every day./.
