The new service operates three flights per week every Monday, Friday and Sunday, using Airbus A320 planes.

On the occasion of the launching, Vietnam Airlines will offer a one-way ticket at a promotional price of 1.95 million VND (100 USD) for the flights from November 15 to December 25. Popular ticket price on this route ranges between 300 USD and 480 USD.

Earlier, in March, 2010, Vietnam Airlines launched the direct air route between Hanoi and Yangon with four flights per week. The airline has now increased the number of weekly flights to five on the service, on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.
