A concert titled “Melody of Passion” will take place at the French Cultural Centre (L'Espace) in Hanoi on August 30 to raise funds for poor children Cay Thi commune, Dong Hy district, Thai Nguyen province.
The show is a meeting between classical music and Pop – Rock in Vietnam. It is the first time violinist Anh Tu, a lecturer at the National Music Conservatory, will play ballads with pianist Ngoc Linh, while opera singer Viet Dung will introduce a mix of classical music, pop and rock.
Artists Anh Tu and his wife Viet Dung are the organizers of the program, with the support of Anh Tu Violin FC.
Anh Tu will perform tunes such as The Four Seasons concerto and Beethoven Virus with young rockers, while Dung will sing opera combined with rock.
"This is not only a show for charity, but also an art performance where we introduce experimental art," Dung said.
When she was a student of the Vietnam National Academy of Music, Viet Dung was awarded scholarships from the Australian, German and Korean governments for excellent study of academic fine arts.
The couple Anh Tu and Viet Dung hope to be able to hold monthly charity concerts to help disadvantaged people./.
