“Visit
Viet Nam Year - Phu Yen 2011: Exotic Beaches and Islands” will bring
opportunities to the South Central Coastal provinces in general and Phu
Yen Province in particular to promote tourism at the national scale;
introduce
characteristics, traditional cultural identities of each locality and
the whole South Central Coastal region; effectively exploit the tourism
potential, promote investment, attract international and domestic
visitors, contribute to socio-economic development and Viet Nam tourism development.
At
the same time, the National Tourism Year 2011 associates with the event
of Phu Yen celebrating 400 years of development, which is an
opportunity for Phu Yen people showing their patriotism, love of home
and pride of historical traditions.
The activities will take place at different times in 2011, focusing in
the first lunar month, April and May (the anniversaries of the province
liberation and the Southern Liberation days and National Re-unification
Day), June and July (the anniversary of re-establishing provinces),
September and December.
