Pottery pot in the Mac Dynasty (16th century) belongs to the collection of Dao Danh Trung in Hanoi
(CPV) - An exhibition named “Vietnam’s antiques” was opened on July 25 at the National Museum of Vietnamese History. At the exhibition, many precious antiques are displayed.
The exhibition is co-organized by the National Museum of Vietnamese History and the Thang Long – Hanoi Antiques Association in order to promote the development of socialization movement of the cultural heritage preservation activities.
At the exhibition, more than 50 unique and typical antiques of Vietnam carefully chosen from the collections of members of the Thang Long – Hanoi Antiques Association and the National Museum of Vietnamese History.
The objects displayed have the dates from Dong Son culture (2,500 years ago) to Nguyen Dynasty (19th century), such as a bronze drum, pot, bell, glazed terracotta jar, candlestick, vase, casket, bowl, soup ladle, big-bellied jar which were made from bronze and pottery.
Of particular interest is a collection of golden jewelry from the Nguyen Lord, which was collected five years ago and is first displayed and introduced to the public.
The “Oc Eo – Phu Nam” showroom displays more than 100 precious antiques of the Oc Eo culture, an ancient culture was formed and developed 1000BC, in the Southern delta. The objects displayed were made from various materials such as pottery, precious metals, wood, stone or bronze./.
