Tuan will perform several Vietnamese songs and extracts from classic operas such as Phantom of the Opera, Man of la Mancha and West Side Story together with Filipino singers Joanna Ampil and Rachelle Gerodias. Nguyen Vu Tu, Vietnamese ambassador to the Philippines, says that the concert will help the Filipino audience understand more about modern Vietnamese music and competence of Vietnamese singers in musical plays which are the main strength of Filipino artists. “I hope the cooperation between singers of the two countries will work well,” he adds. During his time in Manila, Tuan will work with music producers on a duo project with Filipino artists. In March, Tuan performed with Ampil and Gerodias in a series of concerts to mark the friendship between Vietnam and the Philippines in Hanoi and HCMC.
