They are Son Tra Peninsula in Da Nang, the royal tombs of the Nguyen dynasty in Thua Thien-Hue Province, Phu Quoc Island, the Mekong Delta, Tram Ton Pass (Heaven Gate) in Lao Cai Province, Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park in Quang Binh Province, Ha Long Bay in Quang Ninh Province, One-pillar Pagoda in Ha Noi, Da Dia Rapids in Phu Yen Province, and the former royal capital Hue.

The country's tourism authority has held tourism and cultural festivals in South Korea and Russia to promote the image of Vietnamese tourism and meet with partners.
According to the Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT), the 2012 Viet Nam Tourism-Culture Festival took place in Changwon and Seoul in South Korea from July 6 to 9 followed by a similar event in Vladivostok, Russia, from July 10 to 13.
The festivals feature art and traditional costume shows, photo exhibitions on the country and people, cuisine, handicrafts, and tourism workshops.
VNAT said the country attracted 3.36 million international tourists in the first half, up 13.9 per cent over the same period last year. The figure include 367,000 from South Korea and some 100,000 from Russia.
