– An audition for young Vietnamese musicians to try for a place in the Southeast Asian Youth Chamber Orchestra (SEAYCO) will be held at the Goethe Institut Hanoi on August 11.
The SEAYCO project, launched by Mahidol University in Thailand and the Goethe Institut in Southeast Asia, aims to discover talented young musicians in ASEAN countries and create an oppotunity for them to develop their talents.
Twenty-five outstanding young musicians will be selected by a jury of artists from Mahidol University.
Those chosen will attend two-week masterclasses led by famous conductors. The first masterclass will take place in Octorber under the baton of well-known conductor Nicolas Pasquet, a professor at the Liszt School of Music in Weimar, Germany.
After the courses, SEAYCO will perform in Bangkok, Thailand, Yangon, Myamar, and other countries during the next three years.
