“Melody of Passion” concert will be held at the French Cultural Center (L’Espace, 24 Trang Tien), Hanoi on the evening of August 30, to raise fund for poor children in the northern mountainous region.
The concert is organized by an artist couple, violinist Anh Tu, a lecturer of the Vietnam National Music Conservatory and his wife – opera singer Viet Dung.
The couple did not seek sponsors for the show. They only called for young artists and members of the Anh Tu Violin Fan Club to join the event.
The “Melody of Passion” will introduce works which are mixed between classical music with pop and rock music.
For the first time, violinist Anh Tu will cooperate with famous pianist Ngoc Linh in ballad melodies while Viet Dung will sing opera and rock for the first time.
This will be also the first time that Anh Tu will play classical music works, like Cannon in D, Beethoven virus, Concerto Four Season, Spanish Dance, etc. with six rockers: Duc Long, Quang Minh, Truong Chinh, Hai Nam, Hai Bang and Manh Linh.
“This is a charity show but it is a show of art, especially experimental art. We would like to bring the audience a wonderful time experiencing with music. They will go from gentle melodies of classical music to burning and frenetic melodies of rock. They will mix with the music and sublimate in the feeling of passion,” Viet Dung said.
Revenue from the show will be donated to poor children in the northern mountainous province of Thai Nguyen.
The couple hoped to be able to hold monthly charity concerts to help disadvantaged people.
In July 2012, they organized the first charity show, entitled “Love Story.” The show attracted nearly 300 people while 200 others had to leave because of lacking seats.
The next show will take place at the L’Espace and Anh Tu – Viet Dung hoped that the show will attract more audience people.
