Overseas Vietnamese youth visit Uncle Ho’s homeland
(CPV) - During the Vietnam Summer 2012 themed “Return the Red Soil”, 180 overseas Vietnamese youths and students from 25 countries and territories worldwide on July 16 visited Nghe An province, home village of President Ho Chi Minh. The delegation offered incense and flowers at Ho Chi Minh Square, visited Kim Lien relics which including Sen village, Chua village and the grave of Uncle Ho’s mother Hoang Thi Loan in Nam Dan district. “This is the first time I have arrived in Vietnam and visited the home village of Uncle Ho, so my feelings are very special and difficult to describe in words. To come to the homeland, especially to visit the home village of Uncle Ho, it helps Linh as well as other overseas Vietnamese youths further understand the life, the cause, the moral example as well as deep sentiment of President Ho Chi Minh with overseas Vietnamese. I and other youths don’t think that the leader of the nation had such a simple and modest lifestyle,” said Dinh Tra Linh from Germany. “I was born and grew up abroad but my older sister and I have always been taught by my parents about the national tradition, the love with the fatherland and manners and customs of Vietnam. My family has a regulation that when returning home, the members in my family all speak Vietnamese. Therefore, I can speak Vietnamese quite fluently. Luckily, when I come to Uncle Ho’s home village, I learn more dialect words of Nghe An province,” said Nguyen Vu Quynh Anh, a second - year student in Ukraine. “Uncle Ho is very great. Watching television and reading newspapers about President Ho Chi Minh, I am proud that Vietnam had Uncle Ho. For me, small rooms and simple furniture show closeness but spiritualization,” said Pham Anatoli Thanh in Belarus. “I want to make more contributions and become a useful person for the nation, like to contribute a stone for the firmness of the independence and development of the nation,” he added. At each stage on the itinerary of the S-shaped motherland, overseas Vietnamese youths and students joining the Vietnam Summer Camp 2012 have accumulated more experience and understanding about the homeland. “Through the Vietnam Summer Camp, I want to recommend the domestic young generation as Vietnamese young generation studying worldwide toward the origin, toward the magnanimous page in our nation’s history. When returning to their homes, each youth promotes to their international friends about the image of Vietnam, which is rich in traditions, dynamics and development,” said Bach Quang Vinh, a student in The Czech Republic./.
