The information was released at a press briefing on the festival held in Hanoi by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on September 18th. The festival will feature a wide range of events including an opening ceremony with art performances, a northeastern folklore art festival, a photo exhibition, a tourism promotion camp and a traditional costume show. Other activities include a cuisine competition, beauty contest, visit to the historic Tan Trao area and ethnic sports competitions. The event aims to introduce domestic and foreign visitors to the distinctive cultures of the northeastern region which are being preserved during the process of integration and development./.
