VietNamNet Bridge – Senior fashion designer Minh Hanh is the only one Vietnamese designer who is invited to attend the international garment and textile festival of the “Les Métamorphoses” exhibition at French museum of Bargoin from September 12 to 16.
Themed “Mutation,” the festival will host artisans, designers and artists throughout the world. It will introduce the cream of textile and garment industry in the world. The program is jointly organized by the French Culture and Media Industry and the UNESCO.
Minh Hanh will take 50 special brocade-made designs to the festival. The cloth used in this collection is manually made by H’Mong ethnic minority people in Ha Giang and Bac Ha.
The designs will be performed by Miss Vietnam 2010 Ngoc Han, the winner of the Vietnam’s Next Top Model 2010 Huyen Trang, two models from New Talent Modeling Company – Pham Trang and Phuong Lien and some French models in two shows at the Bargoin Museum on September 13 and on the Lecoq sidelake on September 15.
The festival will group up internationally-accredited talents from many countries, who come to the festival in Clermont Ferrand to introduce their products to the European market.
The festival will introduce special products of 15 artisans, including a scarf made from spider’s thread of artisans from Madagascar, Simon Peers and Nicolas Goodley, cloth made from gold threads by Laotian artisand Tiao Nithakong Somsanith, products made from bamboo fibers by Japanese artisan Ueno Masao, etc.
