(KPL) The authority of the Luangnamtha province organized on 24 July a meeting to mark the Laos-Vietnam Friendship and Solidarity Year 2012: the 50th anniversary of Laos-Vietnam diplomatic ties and the 35 years since the signing of the Friendship and Cooperation Treaty.
Attending at the ceremony was Mr. Phimmasone Leunagkhamma, Member of the Party CC and governor of Luangnamtha province, representatives from Vinh Phu, Son La, Dien Bien provinces of Vietnam and Vietnamese Consul General to Luangprabang province and senior officials in Luangnamtha, Bokeo, Oudomsay and Phongsaly provinces.
Speaking at the function, Mr. Phimmasone highlighted about history and background of the traditional special friendship relations and all round cooperation between the two parties, states and people of Laos and Vietnam.
