VietNamNet Bridge – Nine out of 21 paintings of Vietnamese children sent to the Tianjin Culture and Art Festival 2012 in China won big prizes.
Earlier, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism assigned the Sol Art Center to selected and train talented child painters to participate in international painting events.
Since April 2012, Sol Art Center’s child painters prepared some paintings on the topics of peace, nature, love and life to send to the Tianjin Culture and Art Festival 2012.
They won nine big prizes at the festival, including the grand prize for “Please help me” by Le Dieu My, 11.
Tran Ngoc Quyen, 7, won the gold prize for “Peaceful life” while Tran Thi Minh Anh, 14 and Pham Phuong Chi, 13, received the silver prizes for “Childhood” and “Climb up the Great Wall.”
Three bronze prizes went to 7-year-old Dang Minh Anh’s “We watch water puppetry”, 7-year-old Hoang Bao Ngoc’s “Sisterhood” and 9-year-old Nguyen Vu Mai Khanh’s “Mother and Child.”
Of 1,500 entries, 15 paintings were granted the Grand Prize, 29 with gold prizes, 45 with silver prizes, and 57 with bronze prizes.
