Malaysian food, culture at New World
|
The New World Saigon Hotel in cooperation with the Malaysian Tourism Promotion Board will organize ‘Colors of Malaysia’ to promote the neighboring nation’s food and culture at its Parkview restaurant.
The sixteen-day festival begins on Tuesday with guest chef Noor Rizuan B. Ramli introducing his popular creations to local people.
The 32-year-old has more than 16 years of experience cooking at luxury hotels and fine-dining restaurants in Malaysia and Indonesia and he’ll introduce special dishes such as Nasi Lemak, Chicken Masak Merah, Dalca Curry Mutoon, Prawn Sambal Petai and Beef Masak Hitam at the Parkview.
A dance troupe will perform twice daily at 12:30 and 8 p.m. from September 11 to 16. The 30-minute performance will showcase the Tarian Piring, one of Malaysia’s most beautifully coordinated plate dances.
The program takes place from 12 p.m to 3 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and is priced at VND500,000 per person for the lunch buffet, and VND790,000 per person for the dinner buffet, excluding tax and service charge.
