An exhibition titled “Mind Scenery” by Korean artist Mi Jung Park will open at the New Space Art Gallery, 28 Pham Ngu Lao Street in Hue City, Vietnam on Sunday, 12 August 2012.
The exhibition is co-organised by Phuong Nam Cultural Center, New Space Arts Foundation and Hive Camp from Korea.
According to the artist, even though time is constantly flowing, the hands of a clock will be at the same point at a certain time every day and the people do not always recognize changes until they have already occurred.
In his paintings, the artist tries to represent the hidden dimension in time. The hidden dimension exists in how the perception and feelings about things change. These uncanny moments are daily occurrences to him and inspire his work.
The artist has visited many places including the U.S.A, Eastern and Western Europe, and several Asian countries. The trips have provided inspiration from both the beautiful people and incredible art, making him realise that art is the most important thing in life.
The exhibition aims to be thought-provoking and to explore deeper levels of the dimension of time./.
