Since the beginning of 2012, the Central Highlands province of Kon Tum has given vocational training to 948 labourers, including 79.5% from ethnic minorities.
Of the labourers given vocational training, 460 rural labourers have received agricultural and non-agricultural vocational training, including planting and harvesting coffee, planting, caring for and exploiting rubber latex, repairing machines, and forestry skills.
After graduation, 850 labourers found stable jobs and income.
Together with vocational training for rural labourers, since the beginning of the year, districts and cities in the province have worked with an army corps to recruit 300 labourers as rubber workers.
The province is now continuing to give consultancy and employment opportunities to rural labourers, especially ethic minority labourers./.
