World music night ‘Nguon coi’ (Origin) will feature talents such as Dhafer Youssef from Tunisia, Vietnamese-French star Nguyen Le and Moroccan-German artist Rhani Krija at Hanoi Opera House at 8 p.m. on September 1.
The program was written and produced by Vietnamese composer Quoc Trung together with a group of local artists as part of the project ‘Duong xa van dam’ which is a combination of traditional Vietnamese music with world music, featuring a mixture of jazz, world music, electronic, ethnic and experimental music.
Singers Thanh Lam, Tung Duong and Kieu Anh will also join the gala.
Before the show, the artists will also record an album entitled ‘Nguon coi’ by composer Trung and Lam will also complete an album with both being released worldwide next year.
Moreover, Nguon coi will be part of an international festival to promote Vietnamese folk and traditional music to the world.
Tickets are available at the Opera House, 1 Trang Tien Street priced from VND500,000 to VND2.5 million.
