(CPV) - The third annual German Film Festival in Vietnam, organized by the Goethe Institute, will be held in six Vietnamese cities and towns from September 6th to October 4th 2012.
After the overwhelming success of the German Film Festival 2010 and 2011, the German Film Festival 2012 will be put on in six Vietnamese cities and towns, including Hanoi, Hai Phong, Hue, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City and, for the first time, Nha Trang.
The festival will present ten recent films starring well-known German actors, with themes such as family, identity, love, passion, friendship and responsibility.
The Goethe Institute will show the hottest new films from Germany by renowned directors who have been awarded at many international film festivals.
The films include: Promising the Moon, Lessons of a Dream, When We Leave, Beats Being Dead, Three Fourths Moon, Summer Window, Men in the City 2, Soul kitchen, The Crocodiles 3 – All for One, and Winter Daughter.
The films are about family and identity, about extraordinary love and passion, but also about friendship and responsibility. A large number of familiar faces of well-known German actors can be found. The stories they tell are dramatic, humorous, sad, and fantastic, and sometimes all of these at once.
The Vietnamese audience can discover Germany from a new perspective via the silver screen.
The screenings are scheduled to take place from September 6 – 13 in Hanoi; September 13 – 16 in Hai Phong and Hue; September 8 – 11 in Da Nang; September 28 – October 4 in Ho Chi Minh City; and September 20 – 24 in Nha Trang./.
