This month’s Youth Melody program themed ‘The orchestra’ will take place at the City Opera House tomorrow at 7:30 p.m.
The free program will provide children and young people with knowledge about an orchestra and enjoy pieces from famous Hollywood movies like The Godfather, Titanic, Pirates of the Caribbean and the Pink Panther under the baton of Le Phi Phi who is the permanent conductor of Macedonian Philharmonic Orchestra.
The concert is among many activities, co-organized by the HCMC Ballet Symphony Orchestra and Opera (HBSO), HCMC Communist Youth Union and HCMC Student Assistance Center, which consist of orchestra, opera and ballet performances to help improve awareness of the arts of city children and youths and to help discover new talents in classical music.
This year organizers have prepared six Youth Melody programs from July to December to serve young audiences at venues around town including the City Opera House, Youth Cultural Center and City Children’s House.
In each month’s program, audiences can both enjoy the performances of professional artists from HBSO and Communist Youth Union’s members who have special skills of dance, vocals or musical instruments which are suitable to the themes of the program. The organizers will hold auditions to seek new talents and train them for performances.
