Well-known pianist Nguyen Bich Tra, who is working in the UK, will have a talk with music fans in HCM City on August 18.
The talkshow “Talk Classical” will focus on the following topics: how different age groups listen to classical music, the culture of going to classical concerts and suggestions for new audiences to access this music genre.
The pianist will also disclose information about her music projects, including albums in cooperation with Naxos, the largest independent classic music recorder and one of the two top classic music brands in the world.
Bich Tra is the only daughter of People’s Artist, actress Tra Giang. She is now living in the UK.
Bich Tra has drawn special attention from a wide range of audiences when she recorded piano solos and concertos by the Swiss composer Joachim Raff for Sterling Records.
She was then invited to sign a contract with Naxos to record two piano solo CDs entitled Raff - Piano Works Vol.1 & Vol.2 in 2012.
The CDs are part of Naxos’ first series for its premium Grand Piano label, presenting talented up and coming artists from around the world.
The Independent newspaper of the UK voted Tra's Raff - Piano Works Vol.1 Album of the Week.
The talkshow will take place at 4.30pm, August 19 at Tea Coffee Tree, HCM City. Free entrance.
