(CPV) - The famous French pianist Guigla Katsarava will perform at the Hanoi Opera House in a program titled “Rachmaninov Night” on August 17 and 18.
The program will introduce piano works by world-famous Russian composer Sergei Vasilievich Rachmaninov. The program will also have the participation of the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra and Vietnamese conductor Le Phi Phi, a Vietnamese person who has had great success in prestigious music performances around the world.
French pianist Guigla Katsarava is known for his Russian-style performance, in company with his individual characteristics. He has performed with renowned orchestras in many international music festivals.
The program will feature the piano concerto No.2, which is considered one of the most well-known works of Rachmaninov and made his name as a composer of concertos.
Sergei Vasilievich Rachmaninov (1873-1943), born in Semyonovo, Russia, is today remembered as one of the most formidable pianists of all time and the last truly great composer in the Russian Romantic tradition.
