An one off music show with DJ Alefresh from USA includes a set of Reggae, Hip Hop, Ghetto Funk and House mixed the good old fashioned way, beat for beat, will be held at CAMA ATK Friday on August 3rd 2012 in Hanoi.
Starting his DJ career in 1999 as “DJ shorterm” Alefresh started playing underground house parties in his home state (and the birthplace of techno music) Detroit, Michigan.
In 2000 he moved to Honolulu, Hawaii and played parties on the North Shore, at such venues as The Wave and The Maze in Waikiki, and underground parties on the Big Island with long-time companion DJ Rundown playing a mix of reggae, hiphop, breaks, and funky house music.
After playing Burning Man Festival in 2003 he moved California and took a hiatus from his DJ career. He re-emerged as DJ Alefresh and after playing exclusively on vinyl and technics 1200′s he began to incorporate digital music into his sets. Since playing Burning Man 2011, Alefresh has catapulted himself back into the DJ scene in the bay area and with his crew based out of Lake Tahoe.
His goal has always been clear to put forth a seamless mix of genres including reggae, hip hop, ghetto funk, 80′s remixes, and house to get people on the dance floor. After his set at CAMA ATK, Alefresh will be heading back to California./.
