(CPV) – A conference about writer Hoang Ngoc Hien will be held on Wednesday, July 4th 2012 at the French Cultural Exchange Center (L’Espace) in Hanoi.
The conference about writer Hoang Ngoc Hien with the participation of other writers, researchers and translators: Da Linh, Do Lai Thuy, Nguyen Trong Tao, Nguyen Khac Mai and Nguyen Thi Minh Thai.
Pprofessor Hoang Ngoc Hien is a famous writer in Vietnam. He is the author of more than 30 books of different fields, as well as an esteemed literature critic, cultural researcher and translator.
Professor Hoang Ngoc Hien (21/7/1930- 1/24/2011), a highly respected intellectual of Vietnamese contemporary life. When he died, he left about 30 works, focusing on 3 fields : critical theory, cultural studies and translation.
In every field he left a deep impression with his knowledge, leaving current intellectuals considering him a profound scholar of the nation.
In the final years of his life, Hoang Ngoc Hien was Chairman of the Minh Triet Viet Community Science Center. "Mr. Hoang Ngoc Hien is a great Vietnamese intellectual”, Prof. F. Jullien remarked./.
