A graphic painting exhibition is being run at Vietnam Fine Arts Museum at 66 Nguyen Thai Hoc Street in Hanoi, featuring 130 artworks by 77 artists from nine ASEAN member nations, until August 16.
The exhibition is jointly hosted by the Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibition Department under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and embassies of ASEAN countries in Vietnam.
The pieces on display are selected from 245 works of 162 artists in the 2012 ASEAN Graphic Painting Contest, an art activity in celebration of the 45th anniversary of the association. It is expected that the event will give local people a great chance to admire graphic paintings with various materials and forms.
According to organizers, the judging panel has picked out 17 finalists, including one first prize for ‘The movement of nature’ by Aonrudee PornChame from Thailand, two runners-up awards, four third prizes and ten consolation gifts.
