Along with singer Phuong Vy, the 2007 Vietnam Idol champion, American R&B singer Monica and the talented young rock band Okamoto from Japan will travel to Vietnam for this event. Started in 2008, the Hennessy Artistry Night aims to present international talent to Vietnamese music lovers. The musical event has attracted thousands of people over the years. The event this year is scheduled to take place at My Dinh National Convention Centre in Hanoi on September 7. With a career lasting more than 15 years, Monica became the first artist to top the US Billboard Hot R&B and Hip-Hop Songs chart in the 1990s, 2000s, and 2010s. “The Boy Is Mine” is a song recorded by American R&B singers Brandy and Monica in 1998. It earned Monica three Grammy Award nominations for Best R&B Vocal Performance by a Duo or Group and Best R&B Song and Record of the Year. Phuong Vy was born in 1987 in Ho Chi Minh City and she has become famous since winning the 2007 Vietnam Idol at the age of 20.
