The 2012 Craft Village Fair, held by the Ministry of Agricultural and Rural Development, will take place at Hoa Binh Square, Nam Dinh province from September 25-30.
The fair includes 350 stalls from craft villages across the country and aims to boost trade and tourism activities, popularise the image of craft villages and their products, as well as honouring local craftsmen. It will also contribute to preserving and developing national cultural identities.
In the framework of the fair there will be activities such as the display and sale of various craft products, craft making skills demonstrations, a “Traditional craft villages now and in the past” display, a display honouring more than 300 products which entered the final round of the Vietnam Handicraft contest, the conference “Developing craft villages in association with agriculture”, and visits to some craft villages in Nam Dinh province./.
