VietNamNet Bridge – Six-member Cuban band Corazon Latino will bring "new energy" to the Saigon Saigon Bar at the Caravelle Hotel from 9pm every day except Tuesday.
The stage of the Saigon Saigon Bar, already recognised as one of the Top 10 Exciting Entertainment Venues and 100 Excitements by HCM City's Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, will sway and tap to a mix of Latin and Western music.
Corazon Latino will perform four sets of 10 songs per night, with the entertainment factor boosted by the band's focus on guitar and energetic dance routines.
Oscar Leyva, one of the city's most recognisable performers and former frontman of the Luna Negra Band, directs the Corazon Latino Band.
The band's other members - singers Dayme and Yalianne, as well as keyboardist Nestor, guitarist Abdel and drummer Edylberto – all hail from Cuba, where they have played key roles in the local music scene.
Leyva said: "In Spanish, ‘corazon' means heart, but we also use that term when we talk about the centre, the seat of emotion, and of course, passion.
"We like to think the band's expressive music is a perfect match for the Saigon Saigon Bar, which is itself situated in the heart of this city."
