In the morning, at 8.30am, you will be picked up at your hotel in Hanoi and transfer to Hai Phong City, a large city with an important seaport of Vietnam.
After checking in your hotel, we are free to stroll around the city, enjoy some local food or relax at a nice coffee shop.
In the afternoon, we can visit:
• Du Hang Pagoda: built in the Early Ly dynasty (980 – 1009) and then renovated during 17th and 19th century. The pagoda is classified as a historical site with many relics: Buddha statuses, bronze urns, bells, gongs and the prayer book of Trang A Ham, an ancient Buddhist script. The pagoda is also considered an ancient architectural relic of the city.
• Hang Kenh Communal House: built in 1856 and was expanded in 1905. The communal house is famous for its valuable wooden sculptures: 156 pieces with the dragon as the main theme. There are altogether 308 dragons of different shapes and sizes. The pagoda also houses a statue of Ngo Quyen King and a palanquin.
